About Me
A former teacher working out of the Littleton, Colorado, Public School System (LPS), Mrs. Terrie Spieker is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. A hardworking student, Terrie Spieker expects to graduate from the University of Colorado Denver in December 2010. Terrie Spieker currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with a focus on Education/Special Education from the Metropolitan State College of Denver, where she was an honors graduate with a 3.95 GPA.
As an elementary school teacher in the LPS for seven years, Terrie Spieker was known for her dedication and enthusiasm for education. Employed by the school district from 2001 to 2008, Terrie Spieker utilized a number of different teaching methodologies to help her students find success. Terrie Spieker continued to expand her skill set through a number of professional development workshops, including a Computer/Technology Workshop, a Stress Management/Assertiveness Workshop, a Motivating Unmotivated Students Workshop, and a Substitute Teacher Workshop.
Beyond her work in education, Terrie Spieker has improved her community through a number of charitable endeavors. A frequent volunteer with the Light of the World Catholic Church, Terrie Spieker often spends her time caring for the homeless and tutoring disadvantaged children. Besides volunteering, Terrie Spieker supports the American Heart Association and several disabled veteran organizations.
In her free time, Terrie Spieker enjoys hiking and camping in the beautiful nature of Colorado. Terrie Spieker also enjoys reading and playing a number of recreational sports, such as golf, volleyball, and softball. Terrie Spieker also takes pleasure in scrapbooking, biking, and traveling.
